Kerry Smith, October Saves’ director of advocacy, brings creativity, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to her role. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding partnerships, helping the challenge raise approximately $650,000 annually for cancer research. Kerry’s career in early childhood education as a school director helps her lead successful youth events.
A standout aspect of Kerry’s contribution is her dedication to celebrating and rewarding participants. Her efforts in prize fulfillment ensure that rewards are meaningful and delivered promptly, fostering a sense of community and motivation among supporters.
Kerry’s commitment to the cause is deeply personal, having been touched by cancer multiple times. Her mother is a cancer survivor and she lost her father and a dear friend to the disease. Throughout her experience she saw the exceptional care her family received at Inova Schar Cancer and is on a mission to help find a cure.
Through her genuine enthusiasm and positive energy, Kerry continues to inspire those around her, making a significant impact in the battle against cancer.
